Why facilities specify stainless laboratory casework
Stainless steel can provide a durable, non-porous and readily cleanable surface for laboratory cabinets and work areas. RFQs should distinguish shop-fabricated assemblies from field-cut or field-joined work and identify who verifies dimensions, supplies blocking, prepares substrates, provides sealants and protects finished stainless during construction.
