How to Operate the 500-BCL-P

Standard operating procedure for transferring a body or casket between a cooler, prep table, casket platform, or retort:

  1. Verify power. Confirm the 12V DC battery is charged, or plug into a grounded wall outlet for dual-mode operation.
  2. Position the lift alongside the source surface (cooler, casket platform, prep table, embalming station, or retort).
  3. Engage caster wheel locks before any transfer for stable, single-operator safety.
  4. Lower to loading height using the electric actuator control to match the source surface.
  5. Transfer the body or casket onto the lift surface. Confirm centering and that load does not exceed the 900+ lb XL capacity.
  6. Raise to destination height using the electric actuator. Smooth, controlled travel to the working height.
  7. Release casters, transport, re-lock, and complete the transfer to the destination surface.
